Google Chrome is preferred by two-thirds of browser users across platforms, securing that position by serving as a major platform of compatibility for web apps, and should not be confused for Chrome OS which is an operating system. Licensed as proprietary freeware, Chrome uses the Apple WebKit rendering engine for iOS versions.
I recently updated my '09 mac from snow leopard to el capitan. I hated how slow my mac became so I moved back to snow lepoard and started fresh by wiping my hard drive. I use google chrome as a required browser for work and was not happy to find out within this month google ended support for Snow Lepoard 10.5.8. I tried downloading old versions of the software but all install without being able to open. I would love to be able to use snow lepoard with chrome like before.
